During our 2 hours together, students are invited to explore methods of resist dyeing including traditional methods of Japanese shibori. Students may bring 1-2 items of clothing, yarn, or fabric to dye. Cotton napkins will be provided as supplementary material to experiment with. Students will also hear a little bit about the history, botany, and chemistry of natural indigo dye. Registration is required for each participant, however a limited number of sibling scholarships are available for families registering multiple participants.
